- Jinx's new CD “REVOLUTION OF ONE” contains Blue-Country-Rock songs that will groove, move and soothe you down the road. In writing the material Jinx draws from a range of experiences and emotions; love, loss, partying, travelling, loneliness, and even death. Essentially they are about the road of life, and everyone has felt the emotions that connect with you in these songs.
Jinx uses a wide array of guitars to record his songs, and the CD contains great playing by some of Hollywoods best upcoming players. Darren Edwards is awesome on the drums and Mike Mangan laid down the most incredible Allman Bros. inspired piano solos on the song "Suits Me Fine".
"Walkin'" is a country rock gem with a nice Hammond B-3 solo in the bridge as well as some great electric country guitar solos by Jinx. Written about finding some peace in the middle of the city, Jinx cuts loose with a strong vocal.
A wonderful r&b/blues influenced "Beautiful Boy" finds Jinx playing flamenco style nylon-string guitar and crooning a melancholy melody as well as rolling electrics under Mike's Hammond swelling organs. Creating the essential groove is Darren on the drums, a fabulous performance.
"Round And Round Blues" is a fun romp through the more traditional blues influence, and Jinx picks it alone on a 1968 chrome Dobro guitar.
Jinx shows some finger-picking prowess on the instrumental "The Hawk". Fascinated by the flight of the birds of prey in Arizona , this song was written and played on a wood body Dobro and is very inspirational.
A timeless ballad written about a common problem: long distance love. "Watch The Tracks" will stop you in your tracks with it's deep and emotional atmospheric longing.
It's party time with "Suits Me Fine". This rollicking honky-tonk tune will have stomping your feet as you follow a wild trip to Austin. This is Jinx's favorite solo section, with dueling slide Dobro and country-blues piano cut by Mike Mangan.
